Suburb Ownership Specifications
We require two advertisements - one ad that will appear on desktop computers and another ad for mobile.
We recommend that you have one advertising message, however you can have up to five creative executions on rotation per campaign.
1. Desktop Banner ad.
The Banner ad is a high impact format that appears in the first in-search ad position on Trade Me Property on desktop. The ad is a 640x200px banner that can be designed completely to your preference and to match your brand specifications.
* In the case that the banner ad is not supplied, the native ad will display on desktop in its place.
2. Mobile Native ad.
The native ad sits in the same first in-search position, but on mobile devices. It matches the Trade Me fonts and layout to be a content-relevant placement that encourages higher user engagement.
Unlike the desktop banner, the native ad has space for your copy built into them so there's no need for any copy on your image. This makes it possible for your native ad to fit in seamlessly across all Trade Me platforms.
Note: the image must have the most important content in the centre. It will be cropped to a square in some instances and displayed fully in others. We cannot accept any native ad images that contain copy or logos.
We strongly recommend using our Native Ad Builder prior to booking, so you can check that you are happy with how your ad will display.
Mobile view (tile view/list view)
Desktop Video ad. (optional)
The Video ad is a highly engaging format that captures your audience’s attention. It also appears in the first in-search ad position on Trade Me Property on desktop.
Video is supplementary to the banner ad for desktop. In cases where the video cannot be displayed, the banner ad will show in its place.
Desktop banner ad
- Image dimensions: 640x200 px
- File size: 80 KB or less
- File format: PNG, JPG or GIF
- Animation: accepted
Mobile native ad
- Main image dimensions: 702x367 px (No text or logos on the image, important content in the centre)
- Main image file size: 70 KB or less
- Logo image dimensions: 200x200 px
- Logo image file size: 10 KB or less
- File format: PNG, JPG or GIF
- Animation: not accepted
- Copy: No full words in capitals. Sentence or title case only, please
- Headline - 30 characters max
- Body copy - 90 characters max
- Call to action - 25 characters max
- Advertiser name - 25 characters max

Desktop Video ad (optional extra)
- Video dimensions: 640x360 (16:9 ratio)
- File size: 64 MB or less
- File format: MP4
- Duration: 30 seconds or less
- Audio level: -18 LKFS
- Recommended bitrate: 3000 kbps (video) and 128 kbps (audio)
- Video auto plays with sound off, sound on is user-initiated.
- 3x images (desktop banner ad, native main image and logo)
- Copy document PDF downloaded from Native Ad Builder
- 1x video file (optional extra)
- Click-through URL (you may supply one URL per creative execution)

You may supply up to a maximum of 5 creative executions to run on rotation per campaign.
Assets to be received five working days before the start of the campaign for testing and loading - failure to do so may result in your campaign not starting on time.
